From the Library
We hope this message finds you in the midst of planning some fantastic family holiday adventures! 🚀 As we move towards the end of a fantastic school year, we just wanted to send out a friendly reminder about a tiny task that can make a big difference.
📚 Bookish Business: The Case of the Overdue Items! 🕵️♂️
It seems some of our incredible library treasures have embarked on unexpected extended vacations of their own, and they're having a blast exploring different corners of your homes.
But, here's the plot twist: these adventurous items are missing their buddies at school and are eager to reunite for more epic tales. We believe in happy endings, so we're kindly asking for your help in rounding up these wayward wanderers.
🔍 Mission Checklist:
- Be on the Lookout: Overdue reminders notices will be sent home with students and/or emailed over the coming weeks. Be on the lookout for these.
- Scour the Shelves: Take a peek on your bookshelves, under the bed, or wherever those sneaky books might be hiding.
- Gather the Gang: Assemble all the overdue items and prepare for their triumphant return.
- School Drop-off: Bring the adventurers back to school so they can continue their exciting adventures with new readers.
Please note: Any overdue items not returned by 17 November, will be charged to your school fees.
Thank you for being the incredible partners in education that you are!
Happy reading,
Guardian Angels Library Team 📚✨

Drop off and pick up zone volunteers
Thank you to those parents who have already so generously volunteered their time in the pick up zones. We truly appreciate your help.
We would love parent helpers in pick up zones this year. Pick up zones operate from 8:00am – 8:25am in the morning and from 2:55pm – 3:20pm in the afternoons. It's an easy 25 mins, opening car doors, helping little people in and out of cars.
If you can spare 20-30 minutes once or twice a week please email Jenny Druce at jdruce@bne.catholic.edu.au with your preferred day, time and campus.
A friendly reminder, before commencing your role as a volunteer or other personnel at our school, you are required to complete the online volunteer training. This training needs to be renewed annually and can be found here: https://www.bne.catholic.edu.au/students-parents/student-protection/Pages/Student-Protection-and-Code-of-Conduct-Training-for-Volunteers-and-Other-Personnel.aspx
You will need to download, print and complete your registration form, which is contained within your online training. Return it to the School Office prior to commencing your role.
Second-hand Uniform Shop
The second hand uniform shop is open on the first Monday of the month with the next open day on Monday 6 November. The shop will open between 7:45am and 8:20am on the GA campus.
Each item is $5. Cash only sales.
Need items outside of shop open times? Please email pwynnum@bne.catholic.edu.au with what you need and one of our amazing parent volunteers will fill this order for you.

From the P&F
Call out for support...
The roles of Treasurer and Secretary remain vacant.
The P&F would appreciate support from any parent who would be interested in taking on either of these roles. The role of the Secretary is to support the Executive Committee and take minutes at meetings, clear mail (email and physical) and manage agendas. The role of the Treasurer is to keep accurate financial records, pay accounts and bank money, report on the financial position of the P&F and organise the annual audit. Existing processes are in place for both roles and while prior similar experience would be helpful, the only real qualification for either role is commitment to support the school.
If you are interested in either role, please contact Joe McDavitt on joemcdavitt03@gmail.com.
