MC Playground Revitalisation Project: Update
There has been much excitement as the contractors have continued the works on the MC Playground and Outdoor Facilities Project.
Fixed play equipment: A new, multi-level play structure incorporating climbing wall, slides, and interactive elements, promoting physical and cognitive development, as well as elements that encourage balance and coordination.
Nature-inspired revitalisation of Chestnut St fence line: The playground design is positioned to ensure that we maximise the natural shade areas along the Chestnut St fence line and maintain the oval green space. The inclusion of timber decks and seating along the Chestnut St fence line are beautiful features and can be used for reading, gathering and quiet time.
Feature wall (cnr Chestnut St and Bay Terrace) and natural hedge screen: The feature wall aims to provide a visual ‘presence’ for the school along Bay Terrace. This structure connects to a natural hedge aimed to reduce visibility from the bus stop and street.

This year our Book Fair will open in the Library from Wednesday, 5th June – Wednesday 12th June
During class, the children will have an opportunity to visit the library and view the books on sale. They will complete a wish-list to bring home. If you would like to purchase any books from your child’s wish-list or visit the Book Fair yourself, it will be open before school (8am) and after school (until 4pm).
Students from Years 2 – 6 can also purchase during lunchtime.
We are looking forward to this exciting event that engages children and promotes literacy.
Purchasing Online
Scholastic Book Fair Parent Pre-Payment
Buying from a Scholastic Book Fair not only grows your home library but provides resources for your school. Every dollar spent at the Book Fair gives back to your library and school.
Thank you for selecting to purchase from your school's Scholastic Book Fair.
The online Book Fair Payment portal allows you to pre-pay for titles from the Book Fair you selected with your child. A receipt number will display so you can complete the Payment Form.
The Payment Form must be presented to the school during the Book Fair for your child to collect the books from the Book Fair.
Three easy steps to make a pre-payment:
1. Find your school's Book Fair by selecting your state and then entering the school name or suburb (can't find your school? call: 1800 024 840)
2. Enter your details and the total value of the books you wish to pre-pay for.
3. Pre-payment Form to be completed (below), including the receipt number and amount paid. This form MUST be returned to the school during the Book Fair.
Spotlight on Learning
Year 5/6
World Bee Day raises awareness about the crucial role honey bees and other pollinators play, emphasizing the need for their protection. Year 5/6 students created Buzzy Bee finger puppets as a reminder of bees' essential contribution to food and fiber production. We also connected this to our Franciscan charism, reminding us to love and care for all animals, great and small.
Year 3
Year 3 students had a great time visiting the Life Education Classroom, where they engaged in various activities about the importance of making healthy choices to keep our bodies safe and thriving. During the lesson "Inside Story," students joined Harold the giraffe on an adventure where he shrank to the size of a tablet and explored the inside of the human body. What a wild ride!
